Need that birdie to go in by Rory on the 17…

Re: The Open- St Andrews
You have to say that's brilliant by Smith to get down in two from behind that bunker.

Re: The Open- St Andrews
You're talking shit, and it got the response it deserved.

You are a clueless cunt, yet see yourself as an expert in every sport known to man. This is proper high level stuff, and one bloke is playing better than the other, that's allowed at this level. And it's not over yet.

As an aside, I assume you must play Golf, so what level are you?

El Scorchio 8:20 Sun Jul 17

What a dumb response.

Re: The Open- St Andrews
Ok. Maybe get in touch with him and give him a few tips.

El Scorchio 8:14 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
I’d say he has. He’s been too safe, not been as good with his approach shots and missed a fair few makeable putts to lose a four stroke lead. He’s only two under for the day and surrounded by many others on five, six or seven under. Not been good enough when it counted.

Yes Smith has played an amazing round so far but McIlroy has left a lot out there. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love him to win it but it looks like Smith is going to have to make a couple of mistakes.

Eerie Descent 8:06 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
You don't half talk some shit, Scorchio. How the fuck has he 'blown it'?

He's played brilliant today, and unlucky a couple haven't fallen in. Smith has been even better, pretty sensational. No one has blown anything.

Alfs 8:03 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
So Sergio Garcia is jumping ship to join this breakaway Saudi tour. He has an estimated £70 million net worth. How much money can one man need?

Far Cough 8:02 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Maybe Smith is sandpapering his ball?

zico 8:01 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Masters style collapse by Smith in the closing holes?!

El Scorchio 7:57 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Rory’s blown this. He must have cost himself 4-5 strokes by a fraction today with putts that have been agonisingly close but stayed up. Nothing has dropped for him today. The opposite of Smith who seems unable to miss if it’s within 15 feet.

zico 7:45 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
If Rory could put like Smith you would have to say he would have far ore Majors.

El Scorchio 7:33 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Smith’s putting is sensational. Great round. You’d have to say he would deserve it based on today so far. If Mcilroy doesn’t win, he’s going to kick himself for so many nearly putts and probably playing a bit too safe.

norwaytips 7:27 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Birdie for Hovland and another ‘nearly’ for Rory. He’s had a few chances.

El Scorchio 7:05 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Hovland is struggling but the Camerons are really playing well. Smith to within one.

El Scorchio 7:03 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Nice and tidy and error free from Rory but maybe a bit conservative and not really taking any of the birdie chances. He should probably be out of sight by now, but he’s very catchable for any of the three behind him.

This has been pretty boring to be fair, the leaderboard has looked the same for 4 days.

Roll on the 6th August, for fucks sake.

Re: The Open- St Andrews
anyone who's watched videos or looked at photos of Tiger's leg, it's a miracle he's even walking let alone trying to compete with the world's best. that he made the cut in two of this year's majors shows the strength of him mentally, and why I still think he'll try and play in a limited number of events

as I said before the leaders went out yesterday, Rory's short game is dialled in and I can't see Hovland staying with him today, and I think the two I thought we're a threat (Scheffler/Johnson) are too far back

Browno22 11:47 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Half the field is cut after 36 holes. The cut this time was level par so anyone over par was cut

Far Cough 11:38 Sun Jul 17
Re: The Open- St Andrews
Did Tiger get cut for the last eighteen?

Re: The Open- St Andrews
2.50 last tee, ted. Bit later than usual.
